If you want to discuss bugs/issues or feature requests for SMS Popup, head on over to the Android Community forums where I started a discussion thread for the app:
I was having the same issue as well. My conditions were the same as Bruce's when it occured. On all day as usual, and a few threads. Hope fully this AWESOME new update fixes that issue.
Everything is GREAT, Great up update, I don't know how to explain the Notification Issue
Say i get a Message
I click Read, Then the it goes to the message BUT the Notification is still at t he top of the screen, i have to pull down the notification thing then click the message for the notification to finally clear.
As to wear the Default SMS Notification Works Correctly with SMS Pop up, the SMS Pop UP notification should be like the Stock SMS Notification.
I just tried it again, yeah it doesnt work correctly, it also doesn't count messages like its supposed to, watch turn on regular sms notification and have 3 different people text you then look at the notification then turn sms notifications on then have 3 people text you then look at the difference
Had a three ideas today wanted to see they stand a chance lol. I would have posted in Android community, but there is an issue with me posting. Waiting for admin help.
First is if there is a way, if we have multiple messages waiting, to be able to swipe the popup to get to the next message.
Second, was wondering if you could add BuddyMob support. I am going to talk to them about adding the ability to disable notifications. Right now they are always on, with no option to shut them off.
Last....I can't remember so it doesn't matter. lol. Oh, I love your idea of adding individual notifications. I was just missing that the other day. Worked great on my MDA.
I am not getting the sound error anymore since the last update. Every popup is flawless. great work.
I just spoke with one of the guys at buddyMob and said if you have any wuestions or need any help as far as adding BuddyMob support (if you so choose) he said you can contact @doctorbug.
@Jason, try updating to the latest version (0.9.5) and this should be fixed.
@i3onk, thanks for the suggestions. I want to add support to view multiple messages via the popup, will hopefully get time to add this in the coming months. I haven't used BuddyMob - what kind of support are you interested in seeing? Maybe email me to discuss (adam at everythingandroid.net).
I decided to not worry about BuddyMob ( sorry for the slow response). That thing just sucks up way to much battery and the connection is way too inconsistent. The notifications would have been a pain anyways. It has a separate notification for each system you use. 1 for BuddyMob, Twitter, MSN, and so on.
Since the update my IM connections have been more consistent. Getting used to Twittering through text message.
I am going to send you an email tonight on another topic.
Adam!, Found the bug when it starts messing up

Adam,
ReplyDeleteLove the app, but after the new version I am getting forced close every time I look at SMS. Not just when I get the pop up from SMS Popup. Any ideas?
