New Version of SMS Popup Now in Market

I just posted the latest version (v0.9.2) of SMS Popup to the Android Market! Go upgrade now and let me know if you run into any issues. I added a bunch of new features as outlined here so there's bound to be a few new bugs - looking forward to feedback.

Update: I found a minor bug already (the keyguard was not re-engaging again correctly when you clicked "Close") - it's fixed in v0.9.3 which I just posted to the Market :)

  1. Great work with this app Adam! It's simple enough, and very clean and well thought out! I really enjoy it, and am looking forward to some good stuff from you!

I've also got a blog to document my work with Android app development, although it's a bit lean at the moment, I'll be posting my apps on there soon. Check it out if you have the time! http://www.phillyandroid.com

    Best of luck to ya!

  2. Thanks for the feedback Steve. As you can see, this blog is kind of lean as well. Am eventually planning on having some tutorials and explaining how I made my apps. Looking forward to seeing what you have to offer the development community.

  6. @Bruce, it should indeed unlock, turn on the screen and show the popup when you receive a message. Is it just making the sound and nothing else?

As for the sound bug, I can't reproduce this at the moment. Are you able to work out when this happens? Is it after a few messages or a longer period of time?

I have fixed a few bugs and potential memory leaks (which can cause force close) - let's hope this fixes the issues for you (they will be in the next version out in the next week or so.

  7. Adam K,

Yes, sometime it will turn on the screen and show the pop up but after a long period of time the pop up stops showing up, and the sound is disabled. It's after a long period of time and when my messages reach around 100.

For the sound bug, after it disables, i have to turn the phone off and turn it back on. it seems some other people are having this problem

Great cant wait! Thanks for everything Adam! if u ever need anything let me know!
